GetUpside launches restaurant discounts
Cash back app GetUpside, known for offering huge discounts on gas station fill-ups (and recently, cash back at grocery stores), has expanded into restaurants. In an announcement on Friday, October 29th, GetUpside said that diners can now save up to 45% on their entire meal at select restaurants.
The discount applies to the entire bill — all food and drinks — except tax and tip. And, incredibly, it works for takeout as well as dine-in.
This new foray into food and drink is huge news for GetUpside users, especially those who love to eat out. And for those savvy diners with a company credit card (corporate dinners, anyone?), this could be a great opportunity to not just save money, but actually make money.
How to earn money at restaurants with GetUpside
Users familiar with GetUpside’s gas discounts will find it easy to save money at restaurants using the app. Just like with gas stations, you must first claim the offer in the app while you’re at the restaurant. Open the app, and it will prompt you to claim the offer based on your GPS location.
Make sure you pay the bill with the credit card you’ve selected in the app. Once GetUpside has verified the transaction, you’ll see the earnings in your account. This can take 2-3 days, but sometimes as long as 10. Once that’s done, you can cash out to your PayPal account, bank account, or as a gift card (by the way, does anyone actually use the gift card feature? Let us know in the comments)/
If it’s your first time using the app, make sure to enter a promo code before claiming your first offer.
Happy saving!
